  • B.A. in Psychology from UCLA

    • Dr. Sharone graduated Summa Cum Laude and with Departmental Honors in Psychology and College Honors.

  • Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from American University (AU) in Washington, D.C.

    • AU's Clinical Psychology Program accepts 3% of applicants and is known for its excellent clinical training in evidence-based therapies.

    • Dr. Sharone received a Merit Graduate Assistantship.

    • Dr. Sharone was awarded the Student Research Award which funded her research on the application of mindfulness in interpersonal contexts.

  • Postdoctoral Fellowship at UCSF’s Faculty, Staff, and Assistance Program

    • Dr. Sharone refined her short-term counseling and coaching skills and developed specialized skills in organizational consultation and intervention.

    • Dr. Sharone provided individual and couples therapy, organizational consultation/intervention, mindfulness-based workshops, coaching, crisis intervention/critical incidence debriefing, assessment, and referrals to faculty, physicians & residents, staff, and postdoctoral fellows.

  • Dr. Sharone’s training in various evidenced-based practices enables her to take multiple perspectives and select techniques that would be best for your unique needs.

    • She has obtained training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Humanistic/Existential Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Organizational Consultation/Intervention, Mindfulness, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Coaching.

  • Dr. Sharone is a mindfulness expert and has researched, taught, and practiced mindfulness for 15 years.

    • Dr. Sharone’s background in mindfulness allows her to be present with wholehearted attention and non-judgement in the therapy session.

    • Dr. Sharone incorporates evidenced-based mindfulness approaches in your treatment to maximize outcomes.

  • While working towards her doctorate, Dr. Sharone created and led stress management workshops for  professionals at the Stress Management Center in Washington, D.C.

  • Dr. Sharone is WIEBGE Certified:

    • The WIEBGE acronym stands for Will I Ever Be Good Enough? and signifies certification in Dr. Karyl McBride’s five-step recovery model for treating adult children of narcissistic parents.

  • Dr. Sharone completed Mentor Coach Training Program's 31 Week Foundations Course.

  • Dr. Sharone completed Level 3 Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

    • Gottman Method Couples Therapy is evidenced-based and begins with a thorough assessment that then informs the therapeutic framework and interventions.

  • Dr. Sharone completed the Gottman Course: Treating Affairs and Trauma --Helping Couples Heal and Rebuild Trust.​​
